I have grown so weary of all the negativity on Facebook, and am bored with other social sites, so I am wishing to create a more peaceful friendly space where I can just share my thoughts, interests, and passions - hopefully interspersed with a little humor (because a day without laughter is a wasted day indeed!)
I am excited to embark on this new journey, where I hope to share my love of books, gardening, crafts, decorating, food and all things that I have or do love about living in this country...
So, LET'S DO THIS! :-)
Can I start off with a book review?
I just finished The Firebird by Susanna Kearsley. I've been reading my way through all of Susanna's books - she weaves tales that take place in the past and the future consecutively, through some kind of magical time travel. This one begins in Scotland, but ends up in Russia. It's a complicated story, but beautifully woven with rich detail.
That being said, I can't say that this one will go down as one of my favorites (still voting for Winter Sea and The Shadowy Horses as favorites,) But I did enjoy it immensely.
